2007年考研英语真题长难句分析01
长难句1 ：Born in the crisis of the old regime and Iberian Colonialism，many of the leaders of independence shared the ideas of representative government, careers open to talent, freedom of commerce and trade, the right to private property, and a belief in the individual as the basis of society.（该句出自2007年完形真题）
【分析】该句的主干是many of the leaders of independence shared the ideas and a belief ，介宾结构of representative government…the right to private property和in the individual…society作为后置定语，分别修饰ideas 和belief
【翻译】 Born in the crisis of the old regime and Iberian Colonialism，many of the leaders of independence shared the ideas of representative government, careers open to talent, freedom of commerce and trade, the right to private property, and a belief in the individual as the basis of society.
这些独立国家的许多领导人出生于旧政权和伊比利亚殖民统治的危难时期，他们都认同议会制政府，各行各业吸纳贤才，实行自由贸易，认可财产私有，认为人是社会的基石。
【⚠️注意】 1. 过去分词短语放在句首作状语是比较常见的语法现象，许多同学看到句首born很激动以为发现了谓语动词，其实不然，句首出现动词一般情况下都是非谓语动词。
2. share的宾语是由and并列的两个名词，the ideas和a belief，因为距离比较远，很容易被大家忽视，错误以及share宾语只是the ideas，造成理解上的错误。
